Join Polly Toynbee and a panel of commentators and policymakers to discuss the real implications of Britain’s widening pay gap.
In a new book, Unjust Rewards: Exposing the Greed and Inequality in Britain Today, Polly Toynbee and co-author David Walker investigate inequality in modern Britain, speaking to people at every level of pay, from top City bankers and lawyers to single-parent families.
Weaving the argument for fairer tax with a defence of what tax money buys, Toynbee and Walker argue not for more tax in total, but for tax that is distributed more equitably.
